Austin Wallis founded Wallis Consulting LLC to bring practitioner-grade strategy and modernization to complex organizations — combining over a decade of operational public-service experience with doctoral research in strategic management.
He served seven years on active duty as a United States Marine Corps Communications NCO, leading communications operations in operational environments. He then moved into industry roles supporting public-sector software, integration, and sustainment programs — spanning software validation, operator training, Tier 1–3 program support, and federal IT modernization program and proposal work.
Austin holds the PMP, PgMP, CSM, and SAFe 6.0 credentials, alongside an MBA and CompTIA Security+ CE aligned to the federal 8140 cybersecurity workforce baseline. His doctoral research in strategic management — a DBA at Liberty University — examines how complex organizations govern AI, adopt it responsibly, and prepare their workforces for it. That research anchors the firm's strategy practice, and makes AI governance its sharpest specialty.
