Wallis Consulting LLC is a management consultancy founded by Austin Wallis after over a decade in public-sector operations and program work. We take on strategy, technology modernization, AI governance, and workforce training engagements for federal program offices, state and local agencies, prime contractors, and commercial organizations.

Founder & Principal Consultant
Austin leads each engagement himself, from the first conversation to the final deliverable.
He served seven years on active duty as a United States Marine Corps Communications NCO, leading communications operations in operational environments. He then moved into industry roles on public-sector software, integration, and sustainment programs, where his work included software validation, operator training, Tier 1–3 program support, and program and proposal work on federal IT modernization.
He holds the PMP, PgMP, CSM, and SAFe 6.0 credentials, an MBA, and CompTIA Security+ CE aligned to the federal 8140 cybersecurity workforce baseline. He is conducting doctoral research in strategic management (DBA, Liberty University) examining how organizations govern AI, adopt it responsibly, and prepare their workforces for it. The same questions shape the firm’s AI governance and strategic management practices.

How we work
First, a review of how the work is done now
Each engagement will begin by learning how the organization operates today, including who makes which decisions and where current procedures break down. Recommendations come after that review.
Handoff
Each engagement will close by preparing the people who will work with the result, through training, written procedures, or both, so the client can keep it running on its own.
Where a recommendation relies on a published standard or public guidance, such as the NIST AI Risk Management Framework or ISO/IEC 42001, the deliverable will cite it so the client can check the reasoning. Wallis Consulting does not represent technology vendors, so no recommendation is tied to a product.
